Easter & Emotional Over-Indulgence..

How are you?
Let's take a moment and chat....
So with the the Easter period upon us, it occurred to me that so many of us will over indulge. As we take advantage of the break away from the norm not only we will be eating more we will be connecting more with family and friends or exposing ourselves to a more intense social media experience.
The knock on effect of this is we visit the gym or take on some extra physical activity to undo some of the extra treats we have allowed ourselves to have - which is great.
But what do we do for ourselves to manage the extra mental overload we may have experienced?
The stress bumps of visiting family and friends can be a minefield....
Are we good enough?
Do we measure up to expectations?
Are we all socially equal?
Imposter syndrome?
Reverting to child / parent scenarios?
Guilt over not visiting enough?
Embarrassed by where we may have come from?
Ability to really connect?
Fear of showing who we really are?
Showmanship on what we have?
Covering up real emotions?
Painting on a smile for the sake of?
Understanding people are getting old?
Recognising people are unwell?
Having to hide the real you?
Knowing you are doing a duty rather than wanting to be there?
Feeling a failure?
Inadequate against others?
Requiring validation?
To experience any of the above is hard and frustrating, then we bounce from this straight back to work and the everyday pressures.
